National Storytelling Week 2022 takes place from 30th January to 6th February. What is National Storytelling Week? National Storytelling Week is a week for celebrating storytelling and encouraging people to tell their own stories.
This morning, to kick start our National Storytelling Week, we welcomed Nick and Jasmine from East Hunsbury and Weston Favell library. They gave us a brilliant talk on the benefits of visiting our local libraries and all the wonderful activities children can access within them. Nick answered lots of fantatstic questions from the children, all of whom were keen to share their experiences of visiting their local library.
We have a whole range of exciting activities planned this week ranging from virtual storytelling sessions, storytelling clubs, buddy book sharing and author zoom meetings. Ask your children to share with you any authors or books they have particularly enjoyed and feel free to share this with our wonderful librarians too!
