Year 5 BlogComments Off on Our fantastic visit to the National Space Centre!
This week, we had the brilliant opportunity to visit the National Space Centre in Leicester. With six interactive galleries, the UK’s largest planetarium, and the iconic 42m high Rocket Tower, the award-winning National Space Centre is an out of this world experience.
The children really did have a fantastic day as the National Space Centre provides so many interactive resources. We explored the interactive galleries and learned about the universe, our solar system, our home planet and what it is like to be in space.
Most of us braved it to the top of the 42m Rocket Tower which was designed to specially house the Centre’s largest artefacts, including the Blue Streak and Thor Able Rockets.
We finished the day in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium where we were blown away by visions of the night sky and its constellations.
