Over the past few weeks, we have been looking at Jackson Pollock in art. We started by learning about his life and his style of art. We found out that he was an ‘abstract expressionism’ artist which means that his work is full of spontaneity. Jackson Pollock often used music to influence his artwork so that’s what we did today!
We listened to four different pieces of music and thought about the emotions it made us feel or reminded us of. After, we used different colours and painting techniques to represent those emotions on paper. We were encouraged to use ‘automatism’ and go with the flow- just like Jackson Pollock!
