We have been busy learning about The Inuit traditions. We started by taking about Inukshuk statues. These are large stone sculptures, often used as way markers and signposts in The Arctic. We first used stones to try and build our own sculptures…we soon found out that it was very tricky and took lots of persistence. We then used different colour paper and card to make a collage inspired by these traditional sculptures. We carefully thought about texture, size and colour. I think they look fantastic!
