Super Sporty

This week we finished up our Freestyle taster sessions with some yoga. I was super impressed with the children as they listened and followed all the instructions. We had some fun learning all the different types of animal poses we could do and had a great game of guess the animal too. We definitely have some super sporty children in year 1!

Some of our year 1’s have been working super hard on their number recognition and letter formation. We’ve seen some super concentration.

Over the next few weeks, each class will be remembering the Queen by creating a piece of artwork. Here’s our first one. I think it looks amazing.

In Maths, we have been working on recognising and representing numbers to 10. We’ve had lots of different activities out in the classroom, from matching numbers to words and pictures to singing songs.

We have also talk about special places in our RE lessons. We talked as a class about special places and then drew a picture of our own personal special place. The children loved listening to each others suggestions and finding out about others thoughts and feelings.
