Today we explored different numbers up to 1 million! We have continued our work on place value from the beginning of this school year. We took a dice onto the playground and rolled a 6-digit number. Once we had done this, we used the chalk to draw a part-whole model for the number given. We then had to think very carefully about the place value of each number and what it’s value could be. We also discussed and thought about the role the place holder plays in larger numbers.
