This week we have been learning about how diverse our class, family and community are. We have read the book The Colour of Us and each child has created their own page of a class book where they have drawn a picture of themselves, written their name and age, and talked about their favourite colour and what they love to do. We will then make their pages into a book which the children can share in the book corner.
Also this week we have been discussing skills that we have and activities that we want to improve on and talking about things we can do to help us get better at them.
In Maths this week we have been learning about sorting and comparing. We have looked at how we can sort items into groups and using the language of comparison to talk about the groups, more, less, the same or equal.
Alongside this we have been exploring natural objects, telling stories with the farm, experimenting with the cogs, measuring, sorting, pattern making with the ringo links, using the Woodland Workshop to find natural objects and talk about them, having fun in the mud kitchen and much more.
