Where are our pets?

Yesterday in English, our learning objective was how to use prepositions to express place. We were extremely excited when we got to meet our new class additions… The Preposition Pets!

We worked in pairs to name and carefully look after our own preposition pet! After placing our pets in different locations, we used the iPads to film ourselves building sentences to describe where our pets were in relation to something else. We used a range of English features including expanded noun phrases, prepositions, verbs and adverbs. Some of us even included subordinate conjunctions!

We had, ‘Bowie was snuggling deeply into the bright, olive coloured succulent’, ‘Rose is sitting happily on the sturdy, turquoise chair’ and even Pixie who was ‘hiding in front of the sleepy, brown hedgehog’s belly’!
