Amazing historical research and a trip to the Immersive room…

As part of our topic, the children have been researching their family history and learning about the roles that family members and friends played during WW2. The children have been sharing their research this week and we have heard some amazing stories of bravery, courage and resilience…it has been quite emotional! We still have plenty more to share in the coming weeks but here is a glimpse of a few of the projects.

We have also been to the Immersive room this week to help us understand what happened on D-day and put our geographical skills to the test too! I think we can now understand why the soldiers didn’t always land at the intended spot!
