As part of our topic work on invasions, we have looked at various ways that armies and tribes work together to be successful in battle.
Earlier in the week, the children worked in small groups to create their own battle mottos. After looking at and researching about these, the children were tasked with creating their own mottos, using original lyrics, and creating a beat pattern to chant their motto to.
We also looked at hakas too! After briefly learning some of the moves relating to a Hakka performed by the All Black’s rugby team, the children worked in groups to create their own moves to the words and phrases used in the chanting!
The Year 5 team have been very impressed with our work in music this week! Keep up the great work!
