Year 3 Blog ArchivedComments Off on Woodland Workshop

Today our Year 3 children were in for a little surprise! As our topic this term has been the Amazon Rainforest, we decided to treat the children by bringing in Dave (who has previously been to the school to show his fascinating birds of prey) and his friends!

The children were able to touch and stroke some of the insects/animals that Dave came to show us. These included: a hissing cockroach, a baby tarantula, a snake, a stick insect, a gecko, a giant African snail and a short haired opossum which was very popular with the children!

The children learnt so much and also impressed our visitor with the amount of facts and information that they could recall about the Amazon rainforest.

Please contact the office if you require a paper copy of any of these documents.
