This afternoon, Year 5 took part in an orienteering challenge! The children were put into small teams, given maps, which included different pathways on them, and asked to try and find the mathematical equations which were placed around each of the cones. The groups would then need to use the numbers that they found to help them solve the arithmetic problems!
Year 5 were brilliant at navigating the course, using their geographically, mathematical and physical skills to help them and completed the challenges that they faced amazingly!
Super work, Year 5!
We have put the rules below so you can try it at home too!
