This week the children have been learning about caves, tents and dens. We have looked at different types of caves and how they formed. We have discussed going camping and we have all had a go at making a den as part of a group.

In Literacy the children have been writing instructions about how to build a den and in Maths they have been building structures using the 3D shapes and using mathematical language to name and describe them.

Challenges this week have included writing a letter to a friend, adding by counting on and designing their own indoor or outdoor den.

Alongside this the children have been exploring 2D shapes, creating small dens inside for the small world people, building structures using the wooden blocks, scavenger and bug hunting and much more.
