This week, Year 5 explored the work of Jackson Pollock further and tried to recreate some of his techniques. We recapped some of the ways in which he created his art work and thought about how we could do the same in school.
We also learned about a different American artist called Roy Lichtenstein. We found out about his life and work and the impact that he has on the pop art movement.
We completed a range of tasks this afternoon including: researching Roy Lichtenstein and Jackson Pollock, creating POP art in the style of Lichtenstein and producing splatter art and string art in the style of Pollock. You can see some photos below of what we did!
