Swimming Success

Last term, in the last week of school, children from Years 5 and 6 represented the school at the South Northamptonshire Level 2 Swimming Gala in Daventry. The children took part in a range of individual events such as: butterfly, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. They also took part in a canon and medley relay too.

The children were absolutely brilliant! The cooperation that they had shown in each race was exceptional! When the races were all finished, we had a tense wait to find out where we had finished…

From 15 schools, we finished 2nd! This means that we have made it through to the next round where we will go to Corby to swim in the International pool as part of the Level 3 School Games! This will be against the County’s best! We can’t wait to go to Corby where we will be looking forward to testing the waters and hopefully replicating our great success!
