We took part in International Outdoor Classroom today! We joined thousands of other schools all over the world in getting out and learning in the great outdoors. It was great fun.
First we went mini beast hunting to compare what things we found today to that of a month ago. There were lots more animals about, even some dragonflies and butterflies. The children also noticed how much the plants had grown…it was like a miniature rainforest.
After break we looked at shadows and experimented with drawing around toy objects. We even drew around one of the class and then went back to it an hour later and drew around them again. The children noticed that the shadow had moved and made lovely links to the Earth moving and the suns position in the sky. What amazing scientists.
