This week the children have been learning all about farm animals. We started off the week listening to the story of Rosie’s Walk and in Literacy the children have been writing their own version of the story of Rosie meeting different farm animals on her walk.

Challenges this week have included matching farm animals with their young, reading and matching farm animal names with their picture, ordering pictures of the story, matching capital letters with the lower case letters and consolidating 1 more and 1 less.

In maths the children have been consolidating their knowledge of 3d shapes by making 3d shape characters whilst talking about their properties.

In the classroom they have been making farms with the Lego, telling stories using the small world farm, writing about the miniature world in Mr Thomas’ Curiosity Cube and much more.
