This afternoon, the Year 5 and Year 6 football team travelled to Boothville Primary School to play in the Y5/6 Football Shield tournament. The team started the round-robin event with a 1-1 draw against Duston Eldean and followed this up with another 1-1 draw against Abington Vale. In the last group game, the team faced Millway, who they had gone toe-to-toe with before in the earlier rounds of the football competition. Unfortunately, both teams were unable to score and the game ended 0-0. This meant that the team ended up finishing third in their group, just missing out on the chance to play in the semi-final.
The team have worked fantastically, created many chances and cooperated well throughout all of their games.
