This afternoon, the Year 4 football team started their quest to the final with their first knockout game against Good Shepherd. This game came after three very convincing performances in the group stages which lead to winning the group.

We got off to an electric start scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes and putting on massive amounts of pressure on the opposition’s goal. Just before halftime, Good Shepherd scored and we went into the half leading 2-1.

After a very cagey opening 15 minutes in the second half, we scored again to give us a 3-1 lead going into the last 5 minutes. However, the game wasn’t over. Good Shepherd scored just seconds later to set up a nail-biting finish. In the end, the final whistle went and the team came out with an outstanding 3-2 victory!

The team have excelled again and showed amazing cooperation and teamwork to get the job done! We would like to thank Good Shepherd for hosting the fixture and their congratulations at the end of the game. We now head to the semi-finals in a few weeks time!
