This week the children have been completing work based around the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. At the beginning of the week they used the Now-Press-Play headphones to listen to a version of the story and they have been listening to and watching other versions of the story throughout the week.
Alongside this they have completed challenges which have involved drawing and writing what happens in the story, creating their own bear using forks and paint, creating bear patterns and finding 1 more and 1 less. During free learning the children have been acting out the story using small word puppets, designing and building beds, chairs and bowls using the Lego, exploring dry and wet porridge and practising 1 more and 1 less using the Numicon and much more.
In Literacy this week the children have been rewriting the story of Little Red Riding Hood, they have made us very proud with the hard work that they have done on this first bit of extended writing. In Maths the children have been helping Goldilocks to weigh her porridge, ensuing that they are using the correct mathematical language to describe and compare the different weights.
