This week the children have been focussing their learning around the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We have been reading different versions of the story and talking about similarities and differences. The children have also used pictures to order the story, have designed their own troll and written speech bubbles for the Goats and troll using language from the story.

In Literacy they have been continuing their work on Little Red Riding Hood, as they plan for their story next week, by ordering pictures and writing captions. And in maths we have been working on 1 more and 1 less by rolling dice and saying then writing the number that is 1 more and 1 less.

Alongside this the children have been building bridges using various materials and talking about why they are good or not good materials; practising subtracting using a number line; retelling the Billy Goats Gruff story using the small work puppets, writing sentences about different parts of the story; using the Puppet Pals app to create their own stories and much more.
