Henry VIII giant jigsaw…

Year 4 BlogComments Off on Henry VIII giant jigsaw…

In Art last week, we all had to work together to create a giant picture of Henry VIII. It was a lot trickier than we first imagined as the colours were so similar across the whole of the painting. After a huge group effort, and lots of discussion, we managed to complete the ‘jigsaw’.

The children discussed the colours used and the stance Henry was standing in. They thought that the colour gold was used as it shows how rich and important Henry was. They also thought the colour red showed his power and thought it could have been a rare colour to have/wear in the Tudor times.

In the coming weeks, we will be recreating famous paintings of Henry and working in groups to achieve the final results. Stay tuned!
