ADDITIONAL - Stay and Play Session - For all parents and prospective Foundation Stage children.

Tuesday 19th November - 1.15pm - 2.45pm

As tours are just for parents, this year we are pleased to offer an additional Stay and Play session. This will enable you to bring your child to experience the Woodland View setting. This additional session can be booked on the booking form for a regular tour or contact us by phone or email for more details.

The deadline for submission of your application form for a place at any primary school is on 15^th January 2025. A guide booklet entitled “Applying for a Primary School Place in West Northamptonshire” is available for viewing on https://www.westnorthants.gov.uk/primary-school-places/apply-primary-school-place now.

The LEA Admissions Team, in accordance with DCSF guidelines Code of Practice, will be co-ordinating the primary admissions for the county via their website. Places are allocated by the Local Authority according to the published criteria.

1. Admissions processes at age 4+ and 11+

Admissions processes at age 4+ and 11+ are handled by West Northamptonshire County Council (0300 1261000 or via their website https://www.westnorthants.gov.uk/school-admissions-and-appeals).

Parents are also asked to register their details of pre-school children with the school as early as possible. The Headteacher is then able to write to those parents in the Autumn Term before a child is due to start school in the following September. Tours of the school are offered and details given about the formal application procedure. Registering with the school does not have any bearing on whether your child will gain a place at our school. Places are allocated by the Local Authority based upon the published criteria (see below). The deadline for this application is currently in the January before the child is due to start school.

2. Queries about admissions in all other year groups

Queries about admissions in all other year groups should be made to the school, and the application process is described in the document below “In Year School Admissions Request for Woodland View”.

Parents are asked to contact the school to arrange a visit and submit the admissions request form (below) as soon as possible.
