Group 3: Climbing and Caving
Mr Johnson and Mrs Taylor were so proud of their group today with some tremendous bravery being shown during our first activity: The Climbing Tower! The children set themselves targets to try and achieve before setting off up the tower. Many of the children then exceeded their own targets and climbed higher on the tower than even they expected. In addition, they had to trust their friends to support them on safety lines. We were so very proud of the encouragement and support the children showed one another.
Next, the children got to experience indoor caving. A new challenge! Armed with helmets, knee pads and torches, the children explored some caving challenges and played games in the dark like hide and seek and sardines. This was a new obstacle for some of the children in group 3 to tackle, as they overcame personal challenges like fear of the dark and confined spaces.
We are looking forward to first... a good night's sleep... maybe... and some more personal development tomorrow - definitely!
