You're a wizard, Harry!

This week, we have launched into a new English unit: Harry Potter! We have launched in with a particular focus on comprehension skills. Yesterday, we unpicked the character of Mr Dursley, finding evidence to back up our inferences about his appearance and personality. We are loving having our own copies of the book too!
We have also talked about how reading stamina is so important when reading more lengthy texts like this! We have challenged the children to really aim high with reading at home, be that alone, out loud to you or being read to by someone else at home.
There is a lot of excitement in the year group for this unit!
