Finding the volume!

This morning, Year 6 were using their knowledge of area and perimeter to help them find the volume of a cube/cuboid. After discussing the length, width and depth measurements of a cuboid, the children were asked to use this information to find the volume of a range of cuboids around the classroom. Working in pairs, they had to use their knowledge of finding the volume (and short multiplication) to find the volume accurately.

This was great fun and a good chance for the children to work cooperatively!
