Teaching fractions!

Year 5 have been multiplying unit fractions by integers this week. Today they used the "Show Me" app to become the teacher! The app allowed them to record an explanation of how to multipy fractions with proper fractions as the answer, but also with improper fractions as the answer- which then required a demonstration of how to turn improper fractions into mixed numbers. Those children who wanted a challenge also looked at simplifying their fractions.. Great work recording video demos and commentries Year 5- fantastic practice for consolidating learning!
