Jack and the Beanstalk

The children have settled back into school really well after their Christmas break. They have been introduced to our new topic this half-term called 'Tell us a Story'.  We listened and learnt the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.  The children used a story map to tell the story to each other.  They used pictures to order the main events in the story and drew a picture of what is at the top of the giant beanstalk.  They used the construction area to build a ladder for Jack.  The children also visited the life education tent and were introduced to Harrold the giraffe. They learnt all about how to keep their bodies healthy.  A lovely start to the term!
