Chinese New Year!

As part of our topic all about celebrations, this week the children have been introduced to the celebration of Chinese New Year.  They have looked at many different items used during this celebration and listened to stories about how and why it is celebrated.  The children have made their own lanterns using paper and joining techniques.  They have retold the story of the Chinese New Year race in the small world area.  In maths, they have been learning about 1 more and 1 less than a number.  We have also been busy rehearsing our nativity!  Don't forget to keep practising your lines at home!
