Rocking out

This week in Music, Year 2 have been learning all about rock and roll! We listened to a range of classic rock songs and talked about what we liked about them, from the upbeat rhythms to the exciting instruments. The children shared how the music made them feel, with lots of enthusiastic responses like “happy,” “excited,” and “ready to dance!”

We even learnt a rock and roll hand jive, which the children picked up brilliantly. Some of them were so inspired that they created their own funky dance moves too! It’s been wonderful to see such energy, creativity and confidence in the classroom.
