Exploring Place Value and Comparing Numbers!

This week in 1LD, we’ve been learning all about place value and how to compare numbers. We’ve been using special maths symbols to help us - the greater than (>), less than (<) and equals (=) signs!

Today, we worked with our learning partners and looked at different representations of numbers. Some were shown as tens and ones and some as pictures. We had to look carefully, talk together and decide which number was greater, which was smaller, or if they were equal.

It was brilliant to see everyone working as a team, explaining their thinking and using the symbols correctly. Well done, 1LD!
